1. Nammi gange programme which integrates the efforts to clean and protect the Ganga River in a comprehensive manner.
2. Marking a major shift in implementation, the Government is focusing on involving people living on the banks of the river to attain sustainable results. Drawing from the lesson learned from the previous implementation, the program also focuses on involving the States and Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural) implementation at grassroots levels.
3. Regular monitoring of the Projects under Namami Gange Programme in the State, weekly review the progress of the projects with directions to the field staff to complete the projects timely as per the specifications in the contract.
4. Proposing the action plan for treatment of sewage polluting River Ganga and its tributaries and submission of the DPR for I&D and STP works to SMCG/NMCG.
5. Providing all the support to the field officials by co-ordinating with other State Govt. departments for resolution of issues pertaining to Namami Gange Projects.
6. Submission of compliance of various OAs under consideration in Hon’ble NGT, New Delhi on regular basis.
